Ghibli Diesel due a service

Hi,

I've done 12,000 miles in the Ghibli, since I got it in June last year, so it is now due a service. I'm based in West Cumbria and google says my nearest independent specialist is a 300 mile round trip away in South Manchester, so I don't think that is practical and I will have to use my local garage.

Looking through the previous invoices, it looks like the car has had plenty of standard oil changes but I can't see any belts etc changed. It is now up to 58,000 miles, so I'm guessing it would be safe to get these sorted.

Can you advise what I need and where best for parts as I would prefer to get the right products and leave them in the car for the garage, rather than let them pick and choose.

I would still be tempted to take it to Autoshield in Manchester rather than a local garage as the computers will need an Maserati Specific tool to deal with some likely issues.

Marios and his team are also more likely to tell you what needs to be done rather than what the book tells you... and that could save you a fair penny.

Finally a specialist history will pay you back come sale time.

It's only the aux belt that you need to change. You can get one from eurospares.
Is stockton on tees any nearer??

Yes, Stockton is probably a bit closer.
In that case I have a bloke do mine.. called hanger 18. Has all the software. He's just done my service Inc aux belt for about 700

I’d start with some calls to said specialists or a MD to check what service is required (belts, filters etc) which will help confirm what level of skills are required.

The service schedule is in the handbook. It's oil/oil filter and air filter every year. Diesel filter every 2 years. Cabin filter every 2 yesrs and aux belt 5 years.

My idler pulley went suddenly and I had this and the aux belt replaced together. I think it might be an idea to do both unless you have a record of this being done in the past five years.
Also, if you do a search for Ghibli service kit, there are a number of suppliers who sell these.
