My passenger side low beam headlight bulb started flickering over the period of a week or so. Eventually, it just failed so I had it replaced. A couple of weeks later, a message pops up to say that the same bulb has failed again.
The replacement bulb is original and has a stated life of 2000+ hours. I'll ask the garage to have a look but is it worth looking at the xenon control unit box? On the basis that the new bulb actually worked for a while, can I assume the box is fine? I am a bit concerned about getting into a cycle of changing bulbs (bumper off job) when there might be another cause.
Also, has anyone changed these bulbs without taking the whole bumper off ? A couple of people on other forums suggest you can slide the bulb out by undoing the fixings on the top and side of the bumper, and not have to take the undertray and whole bumper off. Thanks.
