Gransport Gear shift

Still pressing to get a 4200 or GS. Drove my first GS in the north today and a good experience. What I did notice was that the gear changes in automatic - including in sport - were pretty lethargic. Noticeable lift of power, wait, get new gear, back on again. In manual it was fine, very slick. Anyone advise if this is normal - could be my driving of course!

thanks

They are quicker above 5,000 revs I believe, auto will change earlier if it can...

This forum is as quick as a gearshift! Thanks guys useful info. Perhaps I'll get a cover for the auto button, "break glass: emergency use only"....

Probably quicker :) I used Ice mode for the first time today. That was interesting.

Well, I'll admit to using auto quite a bit in my first year as I got used to the vehicle, it is blooming handy in heavy traffic and city driving but these days the only time it gets used is when Jeanette is driving it as she can't be fussed with the paddles!!!

I used Auto once just to see what it did, it made it felt like it was broken so that has been left alone since
