Ferodo Pads FDB 451 or 998

is it safe to say that both pads offer pretty much same performance at similar price? anyone with experience of either or both - pls do let me know

lastly - Am thinking of getting local mechanic to change front and rear pads. it's all pretty straight forward to change them over isn't it? any twists/turns one should be aware of when changing pads? Would i still need warning sensors to be replaced?

Thks

The GGs will need plenty of filing to get a neat fit......other than that.....should be fine, assuming sensors are working ok and don't get damaged on removal as they get fragile with time

I'll second that. Do not buy Green Grippers unless you have access to a bench grinder.

Once fitted they do stop much better than OEM.

You can simply file the edges of the the GG's down, no bench grinder required.

I do this with all my pads.

I'm sticking to the 451 and 998's they have been good pads for me :) have the red stuff, which take a bit of bedding in......but good imho.....eveyone has their own tastes.
Not one for playing around......filing or grinding !!!! especially something that save your bacon.

I like you Paul was concerned by all this 'pad filling' but in the end I had to accept I was in the wrong. Its wholly acceptable to fit the pads to the calliper by filling the edges.
