GS valved boxes not working anymore

Hi,

The actuated valves in my rear boxes do not work anymore.

I noticed the vacuum line on the right box had popped. I put it back but they are still not working. I think it somehow happened when I did my exhaust mods. Maybe they unplugged the rear boxes and did not plug it back.

I already checked the lines and the actuator, as well as the fuse. There is no apparent problem.

Is there anyway to "reset" that. Could it be a vacuum problem because of the line that was unplugged?

Basically, it is always open, sometimes I'd like it to close while not in sport mode. I drive 98% of the time in sport mode but still, I would like the car to work properly :)

Thanks for your ideas.

Hi, mine seized up due to lack of use, they were left in sports mode and when I did go to normal mode they seized up closed. Probably not the same but I used a bit of WD40, worked them a little and all was fine. Might be worth a try.

Thanks for the tip, I will try this! Since I always use the car in sports mode, this could be one thing....

ecarca, I've just done the same exhaust mods as yours... now the car sounds like it should... EPIC!! I'll post some vids when I get the chance.

Well, I checked the valves, they are not seized. Both are working properly. Since there has to be pressure in the system for them to close, I guess the problem is coming from the actuator. Since the vacuum pipe popped (or was not replugged), maybe the actuator broke down? I am not sure on how to check it but I guess the vacuum has to be quite strong for the valves to close.

Check ur vacumm at the actuator. Its location is under the driverside rear seat under the car. U mmaybe able to switch the hose around. Hard to remember but i by passed mine so the valve would stay open
