So as suspected OSF rear, lower bush is failing. Not hyper urgent so getting the parts together prior to rebooking it on another pay packet :)

2 qustions:
1) Why are they such a pig?
2) I assume that it's worth doing both on the lower wishbone. Clearly one might consider doing *all* of them but if they are such a pig, is there an argument to wait for wear?
2a) Why does the kit: 980139889 . Have 7 parts? I'd have thought 8?

Cheers

2a) some are one piece bushes and some are 2 piece like the front set I assume.

...or your looking at the front set kit by mistake

Front kit (per side) 980139889

The bushes have, according to Maserati, been upgraded, just make sure you get that upgraded kit and not some old stock knocking about on the cheap.

According to Rob at Grimaldi, a sliver of copper grease on these at the time of manufacture would have been a wonderful thing. Wouldn't have extended the life, but would have made adjustment and replacement a far less onerous task.

My car is creaking away quite happily and the dry weather is making it louder so let us know how you get on. Think it’s the fronts on mine.

I put a thread on how to do the front tops a while back, search it down. Takes time to get them out (saw them out) and then the press failed. It needs two cups to wind the new bushes in.

That's the bush kit for the front (one side).

I have the bottoms if you want them?
