Folks don’t believe mine lasted 98k, I am second owner, all Charles Hurst bills came with car, only one clutch. Give it’s an Irish import from NI from new, lived in Waterford, and as far as I know only Hursts and Ken Plant in Dublin have the SD3 to set the clutch up, and Ken himself said he’d never seen my car, i’ve no reason to doubt it.

Ken Plant is the nicest man in the world, he let me crawl all over his workshop and take pics of all the exotica there, he’s based in Ballymun if zags needs his services....

I notice the parts on eurospares:

clutch kit: £1,363+VAT
thrust/trhowout bearing: £345+VAT

https://www.eurospares.co.uk/parts/...discs-and-housing-for-f1-gearbox-51198/228738

I notice this place quotes labour for the job at £495+VAT:
https://www.thesupercarrooms.co.uk/maserati-service

So thats what, about £2200+VAT?

I also own a murcielago, and the same workshop quotes £2500+VAT for labour to change the clutch, and I can say that is the average- a clutch kit costs about £2200+VAT so 4500-5500+VAT is common for a murcielago; however, on those cars the entire engine and trans has to come out. Consequently I can't see a Maserati, where you don't have to remove the engine, and a £1K cheaper clutch kit costing near £3.5-£4K, I see £3K tops, including VAT.

Its a 10hrs job so that is an extremely reasonable price.

found another place also quoting labour in the £400 + VAT range:

http://www.highlineautos.co.uk/maserati-servicing/

the labour rates combined with the parts prices for Eurospares (who are not the cheapest) makes me that somewhere between £2200-2800 must be a reasonable price to pay. For the £439+VAT for labour, I don't think I'd even bother doing it myself (which I usually do)....
