looks liek Robin Elliots AUCar setup it is.

anyone ever fitted the matching HVAC controls, they look lovely but I've never really warmed to touchscreen for stuff I need to use whilst in motion

I hear you. Plenty on ML that have it, though

Personally I do not think there is any value in retaining the OEM look, or feel as it looks terrible...

I went down the Aucar headunit route and I am happy with it. It can also be switched back to OEM very easily. It retains the factory settings/controls too. Let me know if you have any questions. It's not perfect, but I'm glad I got it.

Could you elaborate on not perfect.

What gen are you using? I think latest is gen 4? And what aren't you entirely happy with?

Thanks

It just takes a bit of setting up and getting used to.

I like to mess about with settings on phones/computers so I don't mind, but I think a normal person might have found it a bit frustrating.

Most people are fine it seems, I'm just particular about set-up and how apps work.
