What a gorgeous car in a rare colour. Don’t be put off if the variators haven’t been done, just budget for it. Not all cars need them doing, and even if they rattle it’s just a horrible noise for a few seconds, not a death sentence. I personally couldn’t live with the noise, and £3k’s a big chunk of change, but the right car at the right price shouldn’t be missed. Besides, the variators may never need doing - my old 2009 GTS was stroll rattle-free when I sold it at 54k.
Thanks FC. I spoke to a respected independent yesterday about the cam variators and he said there's so much misinformation out there on this issue. As you say not all pre 2010 cars suffer from it.

Had a look again....that is a great price for the miles. You must check it out as it feels like the best one for sale at that price. As Adam has said just budget the 3k if you can. With your budget up to 25k and the price of that car you'll have money left to squirrel away for the Variators. Out of all the cars for sale under 30k I think this is the one I would see first.

Looks lovely and definitely worth a view. Don't get worked up about variators. Most GT's haven't had them done, most don't need them doing (at least yet), and most GT owners wouldn't have a clue what you were on about if you asked them! Buy it before the old boy ends up giving it away to a trader.
