Just a warning note that pre-Xmas is the time when several scams are attempted with unrealistically low prices for car rental being offered. Last year there was a major scam with ads in the Times and Guardian, this year I believe the Times is already looking into one that seems fishy. Deposits are taken but no car appears.

those infuriate me! Some people must fall for it....I advertised with them one and then ended up saying that it's undermining their product, get it sorted.

When they told me it was too difficult to do, I offered to do it for £5 for every one I find. Needless to say, "too difficult" actually meant "we dont want to spend time/money doing it"

Autotrader dont care, they get 2m a year through those ads and also publicity....

My uncle nearly fell for it, he rang from cyprus for an alfa spyder that was going for 5k but the car was in finland!! He had to pay 5k & then the car would get shipped over....
