I'm struggling to see any damage on that car at all. Looks to me like somebody's stolen the front and rear lights and bumpers. Possibly crashed their own, or the GT3 ones are different?

You could be right, someone with a Carrera wanted the GT3 look and pinched them.

Engine should be there as the exhaust is still attached. There's no impact damage anywhere I can see. If the car had been crashed then surely there would be some signs of it? I can't see how the lights could be smashed on this car without bodywork being damaged. No airbags have gone off either. The only odd thing is the part under the bonnet/boot at the front under the scuttle which looks to be broken or missing. There are also some black parts inside the car, so could be those?
Can't imagine parts would be cheap, but the overall package must be good value if it goes at sensible money.

Loz, that could be a bargain...Is the repaired cost what it would be worth onece repaired?......................I would have thought that after repair it would be worth more than that....You would struggle to get a GT3 for under 50k currently...................Love it and red which is rare.............If up bought it I would be very jealous and do anything for a drive....and I mean anything.

No Andy , the Pav cost is what they the percieve the market value to be of a staright car (always slightly overpriced by around 10% , the repair cost is what the insurance company was quoted to repair it (always largely exaggerated) its all about doing your own homework and knowing the market your heading into , , from the surface that looks to be new bumpers with trims and painting , i would guesstimate £5k max farmed out to a decent bodyshop , interesting tosee what it goes for

Looks like a classic case of a part not being available and the insurer facing several months of replacement equivalent car hire, insurer bails at the earliest opportunity.

When I lived in the smoke a guy around the corner from me had all the lights pinched from his 993 Carrera over night, alarm didn't go off, nothing!!!

This could be a monumental bargain.
