well ... what a first outing.

she is resting in her masa hut.

quite a business actually collecting her - time spent going through various things with the dealer etc - few little tweaks - took about 2.5 hrs before we were on the road.

put the soothing music on - those ipod connections are amazing - the whole thing is hidden in the glovebox - and we were away.

had only just set off - and it started to rain - poured in fact - she senses when she needs wipers - and now I'll have to get her gussied up again.

She has phenomenal acceleration and incredible handling and response - with sport on (which I cannot see myself ever turning off) she is like a beast beneath you straining to show you what she can do. She wants to run.

The changes up / down are razor sharp - an absolute joy.

What a noise - particularly on the change down - same engine as the 599.

Looks asunder - from kids, to grannies, fingers pointed, photos getting snapped when we stopped at lights etc (not sure how I feel about that - but there it is). She is beautiful.

She is a thirsty girl though - and will no doubt drink more when I really allow her free reign.

There is quite a lot of gadetry to get your head around - sat nav particularly - but this did work well - and I am getting there. One little good thing - press a button and side mirrors snap in and hug the panel - so no side swipes. The whole feel is like flying in the first class cabin for driver and passenger but not in a fat swiss businessman's car - in an absolute beast.

It was a very good first date.

She said yes to a second date - we're going out again tomorrow.

I will go in and pick her up and do it again - her hut is not near me but its high security.

:excellent:

I am seriously thinking of getting the alloys painted the gloss black - the MC Sport Line version.

I've got the centre wheel caps already - and have spoken to Ross Packard - said they would come up a treat if he does them the properly - which of course he will.

what do you think?

I've seen nero with nero - and it is a **** of a look.

I only mentioned about a month ago about having my graphite wheels sprayed gloss black with a large metallic spec , possibly flake , with Grigio touring i think it would look awesome , but black on black menacing even and what the hec £250 to repaint them is not the end of the earth if your unhappy with them you only live once Nick , maybe one of the guys who are good with photo shop could show you what they would look like

I've seen them - black on black.

I think on one at dick lovett - an automatic - i think.

I'll get the link.

RP says the best way to go about it is to. remove wheels, weights and tyres, paint inside and out to a gloss finish, bake and leave for a day to fully through cure. Refit tyres, rebalance and refit wheels, torque to correct measurement, drive for a few miles, then re-torque.

if I do it, I'll follow his advice and do it right

second date today.

fantastic - went to pick her up from her hut. Drove back to house - nice drive early this morning.

no real traffic back.

picked up the wife - and then we went back through london.

eventually went up to harrow on the hill just for the drive.

had some lunch - meandered back. trafiic a pain but still a nice way to spend a day.

she is just superb.

I just cannot get enough of her screams!
