Also note the idle speed is coded into the ECU at 1000 rpm. if you jack up the pedal position you are making the ECU think your foot is permanently on the pedal and so it will not ever think its at idle, so it might not start well etc. better to get the idle calibration done!

Davy, he says he has done the max/min position and still no joy.

I reckon it's an air leak going on here.
