Fair enough, stainless is fine, there is a bit of expansion room available from the blue hoses.

The Stag is absolutely wonderful, very nice car sir. I have a triumph 200 many moons ago with a 2500 straight six and a GT6 head, it was a great car, always fancied the stag it's a classic car. They were pretty hard to keep running when new, you must be quite dedicated to keep that running? Can you still get parts?

Honestly no trouble at all. Problems of the 70's and 80's are a thing of the past. Parts available a plenty with about half a dozen specialist parts supplies there isn't anything I can think of that's not available either new old stock, or remanufactured. The Stag Owners Club tooling fund is also excellent for things like body panels and even brand new cast cylinder heads!
To be honest the parts costs are but a fraction of Maser prices, or that of a modern car.
Cheers!

Had my old Golf out over the last two nice weekend's...in fact the roof bas remained stored since the end of April. Need a new alternator as the 23 year old one is squealing like a virgin. ..was even offered £1500 for her at the petrol station.

Must be worth more than that? Seems that anything 80s is on the rise.

Veloce's are pretty good. I bought my Alfa GT from them, and Felice of Sunnyside used to work for them as well.

Can't believe how cheap they are now. I suspect the only thing you'd need to worry about are suspension bushes and belts.
