heard about these, not gone one though, often thought about getting an outside cold water tap connected to the water softener though
Our plumber installed a second, hard water, outside tap when we had a water softener installed so that the original tap could run off the soft (plants don't like salt-softened water apparently - whatever).

Thought he was mad at the time...

Now that makes sense as I hate that stream of water you get after wash and drive off as you can get to it. May try that.....need a leaf blower first though.

They're superb and quite powerful blowers, if you do consider one go for Stihl at about £125, don't get a cheap nasty one as they are eventually buggers to start, have a mate who has a Makita cordless one and that's just as good/powerful as well, I plumped for petrol machine because I have a lot bloomin leaves to clear in the garden
