Le Mans Classics - spaces available

Chaps, as well as Loz's party at La Butte, we now have space for maybe 8 people at our farmhouse (with pool) up the road. We all meet the La Butte guys and have BBQ's etc or use our pool.

Its a stunning French Farmhouse, a real taste of France, 20 mins South of Arnage on the same road to Loz's La Butte house.

We have stayed there for the last 6 years and for one reason or another we have spaces.

Costs are €50 per night including continental breakfast. Come and go as you please, plenty of secure parking, behind electronic gates.

We have room for 4 or 5 more.

We are planing to go by overnight ferry from Portsmouth on the Wednedsday night, stay en route on the Thursday, then down to Arnage for Friday Lunchtime.

Ferry back will be on the Monday at noon, getting into to Portsmouth around 9pm.

I would like to book the ferry at the end of next week so can anyone else PM me if your interested.

No worries Peter, you could always jump in with Loz in Milton Keynes I would have though.

We will be taking payment for the ferry (£250 per car and passenger) entrance tickets (£50) and the farmhouse for the 3 nights (£125) in advance. If you fail to turn up, you can try and get your money back from the ferry but if its less than 24hrs I think you will loose it. Also the farmhouse money will probably not be refunded but we can sell your entrance ticket on your behalf.

The travel in France will be only about 2 tanks, if you go via Dover its 5 tanks.

We are all booked up on the LD Lines Portsmouth to Le Havre 23:00 Wed 4th July.:

We get in at 8am, and are going to go for a cruise round a few places and stay mid way to Le Mans on the Thursday night. We will then head down to Arnage for lunch then into the circuit on the Friday, we will then be joined by:

Race times:

Ok an update, good and bad news.

First the good, the route for the Thursday had been completed.

We will set sail from (A) Portsmouth on the Wednesday evening, arriving in (B) Le Havre at 8.30 on the Thursday morning.

We will then head to (C) Honfleur for breakfast then make our way 'Bar hopping' between (D) Lisieux, (E) Flers (lunch) and (F) Mayenne and will be traveling off the motorways on the A and B roads....what we save in tolls, we will waste in fuel and luncheon, oh well.

We will be staying in Mayenne on the Thursday evening, and head for (G) Arnage for lunch on the Friday then down to our final destination (H) Pontvillain in the afternoon.

Now the bad news (sort of): Ian (Benny) and Ryan are now a doubt. Its no secret that Ryan is very ill. Ryan has had some treatment recently and the results have been very encouraging. So encouraging that the doctors here in the UK now feel that they can operate, which is amazing news and I am sure you will all join me to wish the brave fella all the best. Now of course, I have told him not to worry about potentially pulling out, far from it, I am glad he has a good reason to. This now leaves us with a spare place for 2 that is all paid up, ferry, tickets, hotel and B&B. Ian has said he is still going to try everything to still come with Ryan, but we are looking for anyone who might be able to act as a stand in if Ryan is still recovering from the operations he has to undergo in June/July and August.
