I've got that today, log in and check the remember me tick box as you do, when you are on the home page, delete your existing bookmark and save the home page as a new bookmark sorts it for you :)

I get it all the time on the Mac I updated to 10.9, on my other one still running 10.8 I have no problems. I had assumed it was a 10.9 glitch - although it only happens with SM, all the other numerous fora I visit behave normally.

I'll try your tip Newton - thanks.

I keep getting a pop up saying my password is incorrect, but I'm still logged in. Only happens on the home page.

Guys was not aware of this.

It sounds like a cookie issue. Can I ask one of you to delete all your SM cookies, cache and history and see if that sorts it?

If it helps, I've come into work this morning and not had the problem on this computer, only the one at home?

Pretty sure its a cookie issue, can someone do as in post 8 above and confirm this fixes it?

To delete cookies in Mac Safari:

1. Go to Safari>Preferences>Privacy
2. Click on the DETAILS button and search for Sportsmaserati, sportsalfa, sportslancia, sportsferrari, sportsitalia and delete all these cookies.
3. Go to History top menu and at the bottom, CLEAR HISTORY
4. Under the deleop menu (if you have it) select empty caches or ALT + APPLE + E keys
5. go to SM and log in and check the remember me box.

Tried all that but it doesn't work.

It seems to be a conflict between SM's log-in fields and Safari's new "helper".

I cleared everything and SM acknowledges I'm a "new visitor" - I get the little message on the yellow background suggesting I read the FAQ.

But at the same time I constantly (every few seconds) get the following dialogue box, BLANK no information in the fields. It's like Safari is attempting to submit a blank username and blank password. Unsurprisingly SM rejects this.

Then when I do enter my credentials it returns it again with the username remaining but the password removed. Selecting or deselecting 'Remember this password…' makes no difference.

If I keep clicking Cancel and enter my details into SM's fields I get the following error message:-

This only happens on the home page. I can log-in, using SM's own fields, on other pages.

It seems to be a SM only problem because 10.9 and Safari 7.0.1 are working happily with all other fora.

Try Sportsmaserati.co.uk

also try

sportsalfa.co.uk

and let me know your findings?

It was SM.co.uk I was trying - despite the Safari helper saying .com

On sportsalfa.co.uk I DON'T get the helper pop-up but when I enter my details in SA's fields I get an 'Incorrect username or password' message but if I ignore that and go to www.sportsalfa.com/forum.php then I see I am correctly logged in.

Have you tried a different browser? they are free and easy to download, Google Chrome or Firefox would be my suggestions.

I am not saying you should switch, just see if the fault persists.

Just tried my 10.9 Mac with Chrome and no annoying Safari dialogue box but when I log into (.co.uk) I get:-
Invalid Redirect URL (http://sportsmaserati.co.uk/?s=[in one URL, I've split it because it won't display in this post]e259b9a2b496d26a564ef1d73626fc66&)

If I ignore this and navigate to www.sportsmaserati.co.uk/forum.php then I find I'm correctly logged-in (and am able to post this reply).
