My view with supercars, when you deduct the performance, which clearly is designed for skilled and/or professional drivers you're left with an impractical noisy bumpy two seater. Alternatively you can try and drive it in the manner in which it's intended and end up looking like a complete imbicile!!Spare a thought for “whoever” gets hit by the talentless sports car driver.......who thinks they’re a better driver than they actually are......perhaps they should have bought an SUV and just poodled around in comfort instead.
Momentum after all is a function of both mass and velocity, so if everyone is charging around after each other in 4x4's (or 2 ton QPs) then God help us allI get the safety thing of having your family as safe as possible in a big car. However, where does that end? What happens when everyone has a big car, will you still feel safe, or feel the need for an even bigger one.
My view is road tax should be based on weight, not emissions. Want a massive car, it may make you think harder if you really need it.
Although I do realise I would be shooting myself in the foot with this policy with a 2 ton quattroporte.
