Mc Stradale front bumper facelift

I have owned my 2011 GTS MC Shift now for a couple of years and I was considering upgrading to the 2013 onwards Sport but I love the Mc Shift and later models are scarce and very expensive for very little benefit. I prefer the look of the later front end hence the desire to change.

On further investgation it's not that expensive to facelift the front end with either an Mc Stradale or Sport front bumper, with the former being in the region of £2.5k. I will loose the front fog lights (never used them yet) and the parking sensors with the Mc Stradale front end.

My car is very low mileage and near perfect condition so I am temped by the facelift route. Before someone says it, I am not a trying to fool anyone that my car is a Stradale, I just prefer the look and I will only be changing the front end. I have other cars that fulfil the Mc Stradale role.

The alternative would be to fit the Mc Sportline front splitters to my existing bumper to give it a sharper edge, however I might regret this later.

Anyone gone down the facelift route yet?

I know a few that have and it’s a nightmare. Ask Marios, this is why I said to forget the idea on the phone.

Its really tempting though Dicky. Do you know what the challenges are? The parts are exact fit so I would imagine the issues relate to disabling the parking sensors and lamps.

Lights I believe, I’ve not done it but Marios has, more than once, for customers that wouldn’t listen to his advice. If fitting a Strad front rather than a GT Sport front, I’d think it would be easier.

Cheers Dicky. I am leaning towards Strad as its cheaper anyway and more balanced in shape with the rest of the car.

it's trivial. you can swap them yourself in a few hours. swap back and forth to your heart's content.

I have the MC-Sportline carbon splitters on my 2011 MC-Shift. For such small items they do make a very worthwhile visual enhancement. Just mentioning it in case you decide against the Strad front-end swap.
