That's a £20K body restoration alone required though before it falls apart. That means you're also rebuilding the rest. Might as well do it properly. That's be £40-50k please plus the buying cost. Now it doesn't look so cheap...

Better to buy one already in better condition.

But then there's the argument that you will know what you've got with your own resto, whereas a 'better' example may have hidden horrors that can still bite you on the @ss. At the end of the day they were all made when steel was somewhat sus, and present ads are asking £100k+ for good Mexicos.
