i bet the 147 GTA is quicker as well, Alfa will never make a true V6 again, such a shame but that is due to the bloody eco mentalists.

Yep, you could be right Adam .... Cars are going the lightweight route with smaller/turbo engines...It is a shame but its not something I am adverse to .... After all the Lotus I've had it really does work and makes motoring less expensive which in this day and age is important....

Yep suppose your right but I always saw Italian motoring as:

Ferrari - v12
Maserati - v8
Alfa -v6
Fiat - 4 pot

The V6 is Alfa's trade mark..............to drop it I agree would be like Ferrari dropping a V12 or Maserati dropping V8. Perish the thought of a 4 cylinder Ferrari or Maserati

I think Ferrari will make something like a 3.5 V6 with about 425 bhp..
