Just seen one at the Classic Car show. It's HHHUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEE !!

Even the guys on the stand were saying that you wouldn't want to be driving it in London. The Ghibli was there too. They were on the stand with an example of all of the previous QPs. The Ghibli looks bigger than a QPV. Certainly taller.

Did I mention that the new QP is HHHHHHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGEEEEEEE?

Ridiculous, in my opinion.

I saw one at Dick Lovett Swindon this week. Elliott - you're right, it is HUGE. They must have big roads in China I guess.

The one of at the NEC is the size of a Supertanker, ginormous.

The QP IV on the stand was stunning, a tad better than mine but it was Auto. Maybe a little project to get mine up to spec (well actually probably a big project to get any where near that one)

I stick by my view that the Ghibli is actually the QP replacement and the new QP is just a special limo for the BRIC economies, of no relevance to us.

Also, I don't like the styling. It was bland and character less. Fine if you want to be driven everywhere.

The Ghibli is reminiscent of so many other cars in its class. A BMW/LEXUS clone. You can't blame them for playing safe, looks wise, if their stated aim is 50,000 cars sold p.a.

But, the QPV looked flowing, poised & purposeful parked next to it on the stand*

* I may be a tad biased. :)

Just back from the show. Good day had by all.

Agree 100% with your assessment and the new QP is MASSIVE.
QPV for me every time if I was in the market for a big Masser.

Now I know Maserati is after a different crowd with the new QP but not heard one Maserati fan say anything nice about the new QP....

The new QP is rather imposing. I suppose, that is quite nice. If you're an international desperado of some repute.

I drove one a couple of weeks ago and was quite impressed. The steering wasn't 100% to my liking but everything else was good, particularly the flappy paddle changes for the auto 'box. Ride was decent too, even on 21" wheels.
