No seriously, I only carry a Secrid wallet and and Orbikey plus my phone. That can pretty much be distributed around any outfit without dragging the lines.

I know what one of those things is. My wallet runneth over, mostly with cards and loyalty stuff I seldom use. I'm off to the Internet to learn about a Secrid wallet.

Crud, after your recent medical adventures, have you considered a cf man sack? ;)

Sack is 70s couture from the House of Mother Nature, contents silicon.

Do assorted dead animals, when strapped to your waist, deserve man-bag classification?

On the basis that I have to register to something to look around the site, I wouldn't bother and close the page pretty much instantly.
Which is what I did.

I only register on websites where I can see a benefit to being a member rather than just to view stuff. If you can't view it without being a member then I question whether the content is worth looking at.

Mines a chocolate crocodile mulberry, but it sees so little use these days... all the loyalty stuff I've digitised onto my phone - stocard is a great little app... I just have my general use charge card and a few fuel receipts in it...

As for the site, much like some, I didn't make it past the register wall...

Alternatively, set up a dummy account using fictitious info., email, etc. Which I do for 99.14% of sites I'm registered on.
Even that stat. is false! I felt like using an exclamation!

Oh, yes, thread drift, Wattie - sorry, I also didn't make it past the registration wall.

Noted can I ask you to take a look at the Instagram page then. I’d be interested in your views on the topics we cover.

I can't be arsed with filling in the information. I don't feel I should have to.

They don't ask you for that info when you walk into a shop so why on a website?

The home page works well on my mobile except the picture of the chap is almost completely off the screen which looks odd (I took a screenshot). Other than that it all seems to work very nicely on my phone.

All pages hang when loading. It takes sometimes 7 or 8 seconds for a page to appear when I'd expect most of it to be cached already, certainly on return visits. It's not just sometimes, it's very consistent as if it's hanging whilst hitting a tracker or advertising asset. I'm on my phone so can't tell you what seems to be causing it.

The first link I'm presented with, Find Deals / Offers, asks me to register... at that point you've lost me. You're just another site wanting to spam me and sell my details. I'm not suggesting that's what you're about but that's my instant reaction when I get to these register to see content pages and with your site it's not even a couple of clicks deep.

I'm quite cynical and there's quite a lot of "Editor's Choice" etc going on on the home page which makes me wonder if it really is the editor's choice or just something to grab my attention. It's perhaps unfair given the site's youth. I also clicked on the "Perfect Your Precious Metal..." link in related articles and it turns out it's an advert further shoring up my suspicions of a marketing site.

If I click on "Search Restaurant Reviews" there's no UK option despite there being a review of restaurants in London's sky scrapers. Also, "members" is strangely in lowercase in that list.

I like some of the articles and found myself reading them because they were interesting as opposed to just providing feedback.

I should say I am not your target audience. I don't read these sorts of websites or magazines so my views about content might be a bit harsh and skewed but hopefully some of thefeedback is useful. Good luck with the launch.

Thanks for taking the time to look through things and for the thoughtful eedback.
There seems to be a trade off with the image we selected.....looks fine on 99% of things but not via a phone. We’re hoping that regular user will download our free app.....image is fine on that on a mobile device.
I’ve passed the “hang” issue up the line as i’m not the technical guy and I believe we’re upgrading the server block to speed things up..whatever that means!
The registration issue seems to be a general concern so we have removed it.

“Editor's Choice" comment noted.

Re "Perfect Your Precious Metal..." - disagree with you slightly on this. The article gives some background to the company offering the “free demo platform” and then provides the links and instructions to follow to use it.seems reasonable to me that if someone is interested in such a thing that they are pointed in the direction of how to potentially buy the real thing.
Restaurants- that’s an error, good spot!thanks we’ll correct. I don’t think members should be there either!
Good, it’s nice to hear you found some interesting stuff to read. We’re trying to cover a variety of topics well as you can see from our insta “tiles” snapshot. Hopefully you’ll revisit us at some point and find more interesting items!
Thanks Wattie

I don't know where you are in the build process, but I found the cookies preferences very opaque (post GDPR I only ever select functional cookies and nothing more) and the confirm registration link email went straight to spam.

If it was not a SM member asking for feedback I would not go any further.

Again I am one of the 95% and was curious what this site would promote, but currently I would not expect it is slick enough to appeal to your target market despite me not being your target market... I assume they are much more discerning.
Cookies issue noted and passed up to the technical guy! Yes, the registration is a general concern which we have now removed.
Our target market is definitely more sophisticated, higher net worth individuals and ultimately we’d like to be a “luxury groupon” if you like with the deals aimed at such. We hope the diverse articles etc will appeal to that group.
Noted re “slickness”. It’s early days and we’ve a lot to learn as the feedback here shows.
Thanks Wattie

Had a quick shufti. Apparently I am in the target demographic (somewhat surprisingly, 5% is probably a lower income point that most assume), but that took rather a long time to find out as just about every Google search on 5 percenters came up with links to a group closely affiliated with the Nation of Islam. You may want to consider that in terms of your SEO strategy.

Have to echo the comments around needing to register to view deals. Immediately it feels that you are treating me like the product a la facebook et al.

Read a couple of the articles. Perhaps a few too many exclamation points, stylistically? So Ed Sheeran is worth £65,000,000? Does that really need three exclamation points? Same for the Richard Mille 'Evil Eye'. Also factual inaccuracies: "Fighter pilots experience around 0.1% in G-Suits" well yes, they do. So do I. In fact I experience 10 times more than that virtually all the time....

Anyway, that's opinion. I'd be interested in looking at the deals, but not in exchange for my personal details

</stroppy bugger>

Good luck!

The title of the site wasn’t intended to put people off joining.....I’m surprised you went to the trouble to look it up. Anyone can join, say, a Ferrari forum without owning a Ferrari and in the same way we’d welcome any viewers who find the site interesting.

Noted and registration is now gone.
Noted re the writing style and thanks for pointing out the error.....it should of course read "Fighter pilots experience around 0.1% of that in G-Suits"
Thanks Wattie

By virtue of the fact that I never take landing on a webpage beyond leaving again quickly when Im prompted to a discount in exchange for personal data the moment I start trying to read the text, Im not your audience either...( data is personal the moment annoying, repetitive sales emails start landing in my inbox from computer generated algorithms ! )
I agree. I wont swap data for a look at the content. I understand why you want it and that Im not your target audience....
So I havent looked. What'd be the point ?
Registration now gone, you might find some of the articles interesting as other have.
Thanks Wattie
