Guys. I am looking for some help with a deal I have been offered.
I have been offered a set of 4 brand new never been on the road 20 inch Maserati OE wheels together with a fitted set of brand new Pirelli Sottozero 245/35/R20 winter tyres.
My Quattroporte currently has 18 inch wheels fitted and the front tyres are narrower than the rears.
Can anyone tell me if this is correct for winter tyres for my car?
Thanks in advance to you knowledgeable people out there!
Phil

QPV or QPVI? All Maseratis' in my memory have wider tyres rear so this seems strange. The SottoZero is a great tyre to use November through March and it has a high wear index but I would not run the same size front and back.

It is a 2009 Quattroporte. It currently has a wider tyre at the rear. Can anyone else chip in?

New wheels and tyres

Have you asked if they are QPV or QPVI wheels?

Are you sure the guy is not just trying to sell you four front wheels?

Turns out the sellers PA had done the measuring and had not spotted that two were wider than the other two, She had only looked at one wheel. I have now bought them as they are absolutely right for my car.

Result, great tyres for the winter.

I've just ordered some winters for mine, and my tyres have Michelin Pilot Alpins on offer at the moment so I got some for my rears (285/35/20's) for £195 each
I had to get Vredesteins for the front as they don't have the Michelins in the right size for the fronts
