OK - Red Lion is booked at £142 per room B&B. 2 x twins for John, 1 x twin for me and my son and 1 x double for Lozz. I've paid a £50 non returnable deposit so I will pm my bank details. If anyone else wants to stay then please contact the hotel direct as they are pretty full.

I've reserved a table for 8 for dinner at 7.30pm - if anyone who isn't staying wants dinner can you let me know ASAP please.

I'm still planning the route but I expect we'll be at the hotel around 4pm.

More detail to come as we get closer but don't forget to get your tickets for SportsCars in the Park for the Sunday.

There is an option to put SportsMaserati as your group but I suspect we will be in with all the other Italian marques.

Ah okay. Seem to remember having a beer there when I was camping at Appletreewick. Some great "narrow" roads around there. Will see what's occurring but may be too much with the weekend before going to Cyprus. I may pop over to the show tho. On me bike!!

Yep, there are 3 on sportsmaserati list and another 3 scattered in groups... may pop along for drive out Saturday as well if weather is good....

Blimey. I go away for a week and the whole world changes! Well done - looks a good one.

Update:

These are my current thoughts on the drive for the Saturday. The road from Barnard Castle to Alston frequently features in best drives lists and the one over Buttertubs is cracking. There is a shorter version we could do which misses out Alston but this feels about right to me.

I'm thinking we aim to meet about half 10 at Scotch Corner leaving at 11. Lunch at the Tan Hill Inn around 2pm and then 1.5 hours down to Burnsall. We can have a coffee break in Alston if there is a desire.

Rooms and dinner are booked for those that wanted them on the Saturday night and then it's about an hour to Newby Hall via Pateley Bridge on the Sunday which is another good drive. Don't forget that you need to book tickets at http://www.carsinthepark.org.uk/.

I'll restart the list of attendees so that I've got an idea of how many cars and numbers we've got. If anyone has a walkie talkie it would be a good idea to bring them.

Look forward to seeing everyone.

I might have a drive up on the Saturday evening for a beer with you all but that is all I'm afraid. I work Saturdays and I don't think my good lady would stand for another 6 hours walking around Newby Hall on the Sunday.
