They certainly drove like hooligans! Great noises coming from the carpark as they left this morning.

I bumped into a few of them on the road later, and the Alfa guys were having the most fun. The only ones who didn't seem to want to let me pass. Well, them and an Audi A3 (maybe S3) driver who thought he had a chance - obviously not as well tuned as Mr Cambio's car though, so I had to disappoint him : )

Almost makes me want to go out and buy something from pre-1972 and join the orange brigade one year.

The car was first sold in Turin, then the list of owners included an English person living there for a while. It made its way south, spent a number of years on the island of Elba before going back to mainland to a dealer in Florence who kept it for a number of years before being brought back to Sheffield in 2004, then I bought it in 2008 and recommissioned it. The engine had been refurbed at some point

Refurbed gearbox
New disc pads and hoses all around, refurbed calipers.
All rubber bits, bushs, belts, ball joints, other suspension parts renewed, new tyres.

I have quite a few invoices for parts and work done.
