still,i would bet you could make a profit on spares if you could get the car for £4k-5k

Parts there would rob.
I spoke to steve who had a 4200 breaking and he told me he had sold the front bumper and wings and the bonnet and headlights and already got £4500.
He got £700 fot the Nit CD player

probably so adam, but the front bumper, bonnet & wings are f*cked on this one so there is 4500 quid if you can find someone who is selling bits.

If untouched the low mileage engine ought to be worth a few bob but struggle to see £7.5k's worth all in.......there can't be that much demand for interior stuff?

I know of someone who has just bought a 6k mile 4200 engine for around £3k, so prices are falling for parts, but yes, at the right price, a parts car it is.

Good enough price, wonder how many engines, gearboxes are floating about in Eurospares/R Askews...etc...?

The car is for sale at NORTH EAST MOTOR SALVAGE, Peterlee.(www.ne-motorsalvage.co.uk) The salvage yard has had it for well over 18months and is worse in the flesh than it looks in the add. They have have it for sale at £11500 and have also tried it on Bluecycle salvage site but with no luck. There are about 20 more photos on there web site if anyone is interested but i think they would be very very brave. I looked at it when it first came up for sale and its been standing for a long time in the salvage since then and i bet a few parts will have been lost/damaged.
