Bought for £18k at 36k miles in July 2015 and currently at 48k miles and due for a service at Autoshield. Now fitted with Larini sports cats

I keep looking at changing for a low mileage post 2013 QP petrol upto £40k or hankering for a GranCabrio at an extra £20k budget

Any thoughts about trade in or private sale value and level of depreciation and general maintenance costs of the QP or Gran Cabrio?
My mileage will continue to be c 4k pa

That's really hard...Trade in you may as well drop your trousers and bend down now....Pricate is best bet but prices are all over the place........Dicky Grace may be able to help....there's Sport GT's as low as 13k at the moment in classifieds but good ones with low miles about 16k maybe.....it's hard as they aren't easy to sell.....

As Andy says a trade in will be about £8k I reckon. Go for a really well priced private sale as that is the only way to shift these cars on quickly. Get it serviced and everything in order and it should sell pretty quickly.

Is the car an Auto or a duo-select? I’d assume duo-select but some late 06 cars were Autos.

Not a great time to be selling a QP as Andy & Phil have mentioned above. I don't mean time of year just that QP's seem to be on the floor at the moment.

Not many seem to want them so there is a small marketplace for QP's. There is also quite a few around for sale so plenty for a prospective buyer to choose from.

Sorry to be the bearer of not so good news but as Andy mentions unless you get very lucky assume the position & be prepared for a bit of a shock.

To be honest if you can get 14/15k for her that's pretty good depreciation from the 18k you paid in 2015. Sounds like you had a great deal back then. Be prepared to wait though for that buyer to come along unless you px with one of Dickys lovely cars of course.

Thanks Andyk and Dicky. Yes I was very pleased with the deal from Sytners Nottingham, they gave me a good part ex on my 2001 SL 320 with 104k on the clock which was a no brainer

search completed listings on ebay, the only QP sold over 10k is an 08 EX GT and that only made £11,300,loads sold at under 7k, when these cars are PXd they get underwritten before the deal is done , the underwriter will price it so it's quick for him to get out of so will be a daft offer

Have a look on evans halshaw's version of we buy any car for a laugh

When Sytner took my SL320 in part ex the salesman said he would not have a problem because they run their own trade auction because of the sheer number of cars traded in - thus are able to get best price and quick turnover.
