PPF - Ghibli II

Hello - I’m thinking of getting PPF done on my Ghibli II. However, because the Ghibli II is so rare, understandably there are no ‘kits’ for it - and by kit, I mean the layout for the PPF person to apply, not me with a kitchen knife and a lighter.
I just wondered if
A) anyone had done it and if I could borrow the ‘kit’
B) whether any other Ghibli II owners would be interested in getting involved and get the price down.
It’s £1500 + vat for the car currently, as the chap will have to do everything from, er, scratch.
£400 + vat for the windscreen.

Any thoughts?

Bit dear if it is just the front. Is this a detailer or car wrapper? A wrapper would just use a ppf sheet anyway not a pre-cut kit.

Car wrapper and the material is XPel which is apparently the best

I wouldn’t do it. But then it’s not my car!

What I would do is get paint correction and a top-end ceramic coating applied by a detailing outfit with excellent reviews.

Why? Because PPF is great in theory, but if ever you need to remove it, and no doubt there will come a time you do, it’s quite possible it’ll damage the lacquer and/or paint on what is a 25+ year old Italian car.

I'm a big fan of PPF. It keeps the car looking tip-top and has certainly saved me from some heavy stone-chips over the years. Also, with ceramic on top it makes cleaning an absolute breeze.

But is this for a car originally painted around 30 years ago, and if so how well did the paint hold up if ever you had to remove the PPF sheets?

There was some discussion about screen protection a while back…
The product didn’t stand up well to wiper usage apparently, turning milky iirc.

My Strad had PPF from almost new (2014) and I removed it (apart from front bumper) this year.
It came off relatively easily (just some sticky marks that were stubborn) but absolutely no damage to clear coat or paint even though it was there for 10 years.
