QP GTS - Brake Pads

Afternoon All,

I will soon be in for some new front pads and the original like for like replacement parts + fitting is £1k or there abouts from MD. I've spoken to our sponsors of this page and they've made me aware of some alternative pads which they can supply & install for about 1/3 of that price. Has anyone had any expereince with these alternative pads? It seems a great deal and they said they out perform standard pads but I'd rather stick with the like for like replacement pads than take a chance and end up with squeeling pads or something too hard that destroy the discs? I have nothing to say that the cheaper pads would do that, but it seems an amazing deal. Too good to be true or just a great find?

Any help much appreciated, happy motoring,

Mike

Sorry, can't help. Might be useful to post which size wheels you have as the front brakes are bigger than the rears on cars with bigger wheels.

Thanks for the reply Chaps. Wheels are the standard 20" sport wheels.

If you have the six pod callipers 4.7 Engine their are ferodo DS2500 range alternatives available you may need to take the pad out & measure it up, to find the equivalent.

My 4.2 QP 4 pot calliper pads are the same fitment for Evo 9 , BMW 7 series & Nissan Skyline.

A Good Motor Factors will help..

Mike,
Maserati do not make brake pads, or a lot of other stuff on the cars, but they sell so called OE spares at up to 3 times the price and sometimes more. For example, some of Maserati Brakes are made by Brembo, the 3200 & 4200 can fit the Brembo disc and pads that also fit the Ferrari 550, for a few hundred pounds, try getting a Maserati price, it will shock you..!!
Cheers
