Forgot to say this was first run in this car on Shell V-power super unleaded. Certainly helped economy on my Alfa 166 when I had that..

Plus I was really feather footing it for that 5 miles, still didn't expect 34 tho, reckon I could have got more if I not have to exit the motorway

I have never got more than 22-23 so no idea how you getting 34! (BTW that's not necessarily something to boast about round here though!) :auto14:

Was stuck on M62 smart motorway at 60, around Lofthouse heading East - hardly any traffic but I don't want any more speeding tickets (clean now!) so happy to stick at 55-60 - flat road.

I'm convinced V-Power Super helps though.

One evening on that bit of motorway, again not a huge amount of traffic, 60 on the limit signs, then 50 for reason whatsoever, two banks of cars in all three lanes couldn't slow down quick enough due to being dozy, flash-flash - flash-flash...

Nice little earner - for reason of safety I could see....

How would I check? (short of converting litres to gallons and doing the whole thing manually between refills!) Don't recall anywhere you can set this.

No idea on the QP, but on the 4200 and the GT there's an option for units buried in one of the overall settings menus....

If your journey if 5 miles was without inclines etc you would easily gain MPG like that.

I've seen 33-34mpg in my QP on a smart motorway at a steady 55-60mph; couldn't believe it either but I guess that's the "sweet spot". On the other hand I see c. 9-12mpg in London

I've never seen above 20mpg in the GT. Not even bothered about it either!

More smiles per mile than any other car I've owned.

With regards to Shell V Power petrol, I was speaking to one of their chemical engineers at Goodwood FoS, and they advocate only filling up one tank of V Power to 4 normal unleaded petrol. The V power will clean the injectors, and they won't foul up a much when you use the normal stuff. Honest advice there.
