Hey All

A few members asked me to lookout for bikes for them as I have a contact that supplies professional teams with Pinarello in Italy. I brought this one in for someone and he's changed his mind at the last minute so it's going spare.

Here's a link to it on Ebay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181828354067?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649

I have an almost identical one and it's fantastic.

It's a 2013 Pinarello FPQuattro with full Ultegra and some juicy bits including a 3T Team seatpost, VDO computer and brand new, top spec Continental GP 700cX25 (it's all the rage to ride 25 now) tyres etc etc.

To build something of this spec today would be around £4k or so so this is a lot of bike for the cash. Probably won't depreciate much either so not a huge risk.

Size is 51.5 which is equivalent to 54 in most other makes as Pinarello calculate size differently.

Let me know if you're interested, happy to de-list it from Ebay. Just trying to claw back my cash on this after a friend let me down.

Cheers
Athol

Looks nice. I've never ridden on 23 section tyres. Got some new Mavic wheels last year and they came with 23 tyres on them. First thing was to bin them and put some Conti GP 25 tyres on. Take them off come October and put the 4 seasons tyre on - really impressive.

Most hardcore road guys were using 23s but when a couple of Le Tour teams changed to 25 about 3 years ago, they realised they were faster and smoother so now it's the done thing.

Bike is Sold to that man Ewan. Love this forum. Ebay was full of annoying questions including someone who genuinely wanted to part ex me a Suzuki SJ410 for it !! (If I had a bit more land....)

If anyone wants a bike, top end, let me know and I'll ask my Italian friend what they have.

Yep I had never gone onto 23 section tyres only because they looked too narrow to me from a safety perspective on Scottish roads, nothing more. I was only right by accident!

Since buying this Pinstello I've done a little Internet research and apparently the weight limit is 15 stone.

If I was 15 stone or less I wouldn't need it! It's only because I'm more than that that I decided to buy it and do more exercise!

I think I'll ignore the Internet and just take my chances that I don't end up in the middle of the road sitting in a birds nest of splintered carbon fibre.

If you use it as designed , the weight will soon be vaporiser leaving only sweat and smiles. Give me a Shout if you want a Sunday ride. Maybe even a sportive?

Let me know if more bikes become available. The optimum number of cycles in my garage has not yet been reached, so always on the lookout.

To be fair it is a pro bike and not for a beginner or starter out.
