Mine's long gone. I have still got an old tech data book from the late 70s that covers all manner of things with some dating back to the late 20s!
Wish I still had all of mine especially the salmon pink coloured books followed by all the Autodata books I had sadly left behind when leaving the UK.
On my visit next week I'm bringing back my late father's 60's Snap On chest to have over here in my workshop.

Update on this work.
Have now done all the MOT work, the brake pipes I made a mess of one of the flares, had to cut a section of pipe out and create a join which is hidden under the gearbox fireguard, I then cross threaded the pipes rushing to get them in the control unit and had to get that helicoiled as per my other thread on that topic.

The rear exhaust joins I bought some rings off a guy on ebay which didn't quite fit (probably as mine are tubi?) So had to get them ground out by 1mm. I then bought some flange repairs as I had to cut the originals off as they were rusted and the bolts fell apart.

So now at least the car is Mot'd... On to a new problem, the water pump (fitted last summer) is leaking after the engine warms up, when I did this I was careful to do the bolts up using a torque wrench as the first time I did it I managed to snap one in the front of the engine, when I was doing them up I thought it seemed like not much torque, anyway hopefully I don't have to take it off again!! I might try some of the stop leak products see if that works....

This winter I think an overhaul of the front suspension is due, watch this space for more fun exploits...

Sorry Nick but you need to take the water pump off and see what's going on mate.
What did you torque the bolts up to ?
Do you trust the torque wrench ?

I bought a brand new torque wrench for this - a very small 1/4" one so have to trust it was calibrated before I got it. I bought it cause my big one didn't go as low as this, pretty sure it was something around the 20NM mark from memory. Will check what it said in the manual.

One thing experience has taught me on engine work is a lot of the time a 1/4 inch drive ratchet is all you need and using it in the palm of your hand.
Manufacturers torque settings great with new bolts etc but ones that have been used previously and possibly suffered a bit of corrosion it's a different story.

I bought new bolts, all 16 (?) of them for the water pump :)
