Refubrished subframes!

If the subframe is in good condition I believe it can be protected without removing it, although full removed would allow for 100% protection.

Most of us reply on regular wax protection.

I think the subframes, while a weak link, if maintained throughout its life doesn't need to be much of a concern. I run an early QPV which is still on original. Every few years needs to be surface cleaned and treated in situ and at some point will need replacing but it is now nearing 20 yrs old.

On the other hand I suppose if the car was used in salt roads and never been treated it wouldn't last much more than 5yrs. I would expect that MOT would mention that this is on the way out though.
