I am looking to buy a set of sport back boxes/straight through pipes for my 2003 Maserati 4200.

I consider any brand any solution but looking for a good price.

No answer either.

Dear D Walker.....should we try a group buy? Where do you live?

I was first looking to empty the original boxes as Benny D has done on this forum but cannot find a reliable shop in east London that can do this for about 250£.

Then the best choice is to get same ready made sport boxes or straight through, with the benefit of retaining the original ones, but Larinis or similar are so overpriced to me.

Try Marios @ Autoshield - top quality, custom made exhausts and considerably cheaper than Larini.

I'll back that up, bought mine from there and they fitted it. Had to have it "adjusted" with heat as it fouled the body slightly by the time I got the car home. However apart from that very pleased with it and a sensible price.

Didn't take me too long to do mine before Bruntingthorpe, the thread is on here, cost me a lot less than that to do them but I only have stick welding available at the moment so they are not pretty. The good part is that all the welding ends up out of sight :)

These should only be temporary as I intend to develop a valved set when I have time and have cleared a few of the other jobs piled up!

What is the cost you are referring to?

Based on my investigation:
1) specialist sport exhaust manufacturer, around £450 for sport boxes and 350 for straight through.
2) specialist sport exhaust manufacturer to empty the original boxes and transform them in straight through £250
3) Larinis, quicksilver, Tubi are over 1000£, at list on the official price list
4) a forum member offered me a pair of used quicksilver straight through for £500 which seems to be a fair and my best option since I will keep the original boxes and have a ready made set to fit.
