Must admit I have not looked on here for a while as I lost my 'Maserati Mojo', though I have it back now. Nothing major but niggly things wearing me down...

What is it that when you ask for an estimate for work they think your either loaded, thick or both.

Hi Brendan,
Price below:

Indicators don't always cancel when the wheel straightens up
New cruise control stalk £203.70 and 1 hour (£70). If we were to fit your original standard unit this should also take about an hour. Job total: £332.64

At a recent Mot they said the lights were aiming too low(seem ok to me?)
We would take to MOT station and adjust on their rig – 1 hour (£70). Job total: £88.20

'The rear brake slightly binding on'.
Recommend brake service – 3 hours (£210) plus 1 litre brake fluid. Job total: £272.90

Total for all the above would be:
Labour £350
Parts £210.62
Sundries: £17.50
Subtotal: £578.12
VAT: £115.62
Total: £693.74

Why you would even need to go near the hydraulics for rear brake binding..... They should be wearing a mask!

Brenden, I got a stalk set including cruise control from eBay for £70, Marios's gang fitted it last time I was in there, but also try David askew? If it's intermittent in cancelling, it may just be mis-aligned inside so may not even need replacing...there is a thread about that elsewhere with some photos I took of mine before fitting. The guy who started the thread did a repair himself, so it's possible but apparently gets tricky if the wheel boss gets jammed.

Glad you're back and fully mojo'd up again
: )
