Hi CrossedFingers

I was in your position at the beginning of November (i.e. about to buy my first Maserati), and as you say this is a great place to be for advice and input. I would definitely recommend talking to Richard Grace. I did, and he really helped me stop feeling like a kid in a sweetie shop, and to start making sense of the various options, etc..

I know diddly squat about 4200s, so can't offer any advice, other than to enjoy the process of researching what you want, and what is important to you. Look forwarding to hearing and seeing what you end up with.

My car is sorned at the moment as I haven't had the time to sort the ignition switch and airbag light problem though the light just wants resetting for the airbag , I'd take 9k for it as is to save me sitting on it all winter but it's not advertised for sale as such

That would be a good, solid entry into 4200 ownership. Known car on the forum, with long history. New paint job and very little that would need doing to save you plenty in your war chest.

Has a great exhaust as well

Having the extra budget for jobs sounds sensible but again I'm going to look at a few nearby before committing.
Thanks
