Simply incredulous....or to be expected......

Who amongst us didn't do some really stupid and sometimes anti social things when we were teenagers? Or, were we all angels back then?

Did some really stupid things, but usually it was only me at risk of damage...and usually was. Anti-social is something we all did, but this was way beyond that.

It's not like he made a mistake, he deliberately (and gleefully) caused damage so should be punished accordingly...£300 is laughable, he should be cleaning community toilets for three years and his earnings going to the owner - wouldn't make a dent in the £11k, but might persuade him to change.

There always has been and always will be dickheads like him around. The punishment doesn't fit the crime, I'm sure if the owner had been caught doing a ton on a empty motorway at 5.00am he would have been fined more that £300.
I am puzzled to how it cost £11k to fix but £300 to buff out the mark he left though, surely the £11k would also cover that cost? Or is the £11k just a figure plucked from the air.

At times as a youth I was probably on the ragged edge of society but I never willfully or otherwise damaged other peoples property, daughters maybe!!! It is about respect or lack of it these days, the laughable fine in this case is not going to educate him at all... I'd go further than cleaning loos for 3 years and ask the guvnor of Mumbai if they would have him cleaning sewers out there for a few months!

A little #%^ck did this to me in the eighties (although it was the antithesis of a supercar).
A witness called the cops who took him to court and then pursued him for over a year until he paid every dollar back as per court ruling. Today you would be lucky if they turned up for something like this.
