Snow foam at petrol garage jet washes

I think petrol station foam will have strong detergents that will strip wax and paint sealants IMHO. This is to give effective cleaning to average users. My car has GTECH paint sealant and the detailer recommended that I avoid using even gentle snowfoam detergents as they will reduce longevity of the product.

yep would agree, I would only use petrol station jetwash if water only, also agree don't need to snow foam all the time.

what sealant do you have C1 with Exo ?

I have which ever one that needs a 24 hour cure time. I'm 6 weeks in and very impressed so far even if it is early days!

interested to know why you suggest this?

It is probably because, as I had initially suspected hence why I posted this, the foam has a high concentration of washing chemicals such as TFR (Traffic Film Remover). If it is strong enough it will remove wax. It won't damage anything though.

as Rossyl said - also when doing this at home, I only use snowfoam on mine if really dirty otherwise will just hose down as the less cleaning chemicals the better.
