Here is my Medterraneo Blu 2006 Gransport. When I bought this in 2013, it was the best one I could find. I looked at several but this one just looked and drove perfect as it emerged from its storage bubble at the back of a well known Didsbury specialist. I'm pretty sure the car is standard apart from a shark fin aerial. Full black leather inside, electric seats but not heated or memory.
In my ownership it has had alternating annual major/minor services at either Carrs or Ftech in Exeter, plus anything else that cropped up. In the attached pictures is the last report from Carrs, which was at the last service 500 miles ago. It mentions the aircon not being brrriliant, so I had them regas it.
It had new disks and pads about 3 years ago, and wears good Michelin PS4s about 2 years old. A couple of years ago one of the power steering pipes was weeping where it went through a clip, so I had them all replaced.
It was first registered on 22/3/2006, which was the last day to qualify for the Band K VED, which means it costs £340 or so per year to tax rather than £600.
It comes with the manual, Infotainment manual, service book, and the code cards, 2 keys, toolkit, and tyre pump/gunk.
It still drives as well as it always did, however, it is far from perfect.
First and foremost, and most recent, is a faulty wheel sensor has appeared this week. There is a photo from a month ago when I drove the car showing the dashboard 18 miles ago with no error lights, but it came on a couple of days ago when I was going to take it for an MOT as the current one expires on 1st June.
The speedometer is a little 'sticky'. Rather than move smoothly as you accelerate out of a village, it tends to hang at 20 then jumps to the new speed. It also stops about 78 mph until you get to about 120, when it jumps up.
There is an occasional current drain when locked with the remote. It is fine locked with the key, quite happy for 2-3 weeks with the CTEK unplugged, but if alarmed then the battery can go flat in 48 hours. Also when disarmed there are 5 rapid bips from the alarm siren, which I'm told is an alarming fault. The vehicle doesn't have a tracker as far as I know.
The wheels could do with a refurb. Any kerb marks were always rubbed and a coat of clear lacquer applied to so they aren't corroded, but the paint isn't great. There are also a few scratches and stonechips, I've taken photos of the offending areas (although the driver's door scratch mentioned in Carr's report took a bit of finding, I think it is a chip at the bottom.
One of the buttons on the interior light doesn't work, the courtesy lights are fine but a reading light doesn't, and I took the bulb out of the glovebox when the light stayed on and melted the holder (which I have since replaced). Passenger window switch is also missing a bit of paint after I tried to remove the stickyness myself with solvent. I should really touch it up with a grey marker pen.
If you want any more info, or any more photos, let me know.
