I thought there was no interconnection in the original resonator. Happy to be corrected, but if you're right, I can't see it getting through emissions with no cats at all.
There is a cross over just before the resonator so, effectively, the standard box is a silenced X-pipe and no, it won't get through the emission check without cats.
