The road I live on is currenlty being re-surfaced, removing the broken speed humps and is closed right outside my home. There are signs at each end and also along the road saying Road Closed and it has been this way for 21 days now...But for some reason people seem unable to read, and today, as it's been a 'Quiet Day' I have counted 60 cars drive right up to the fence and turn round, despite there being roads to turn off prior!...do they think if they get close it will vanish!!!
Would not be so bad but I have also seen the same cars/drivers arrive there more than once...
As I said it was quiet at home so I went out and checked the signs had not been moved...no still there, but then I had an idea to make me feel better and I adapted the signs.
1st sign, Road Closed Ahead
2nd Road Closed Ahead [Yes Really!]
3rd Road Closed Ahead 100 Yards [Read the sign!]
Sign on the fence, Told You!
On the rear of the 3rd sign I also added, Now don't you feel like a right tit!
Its given me hours of fun watching...even had one guy get out of his car a rip the one of the fence...rough calc is 20 cars an hour..so thats a few hundred stupid drivers here in Bristol.
