Hi All,

Anyone interested in a little trip to Geneva, Switzerland in September this year?

I have had a few conversations recently and there is gang of three couples including Pauline and myself from the forum who are very keen on going to Geneva towards the end of September, leaving on the 22nd Thursaday.

Like any trip with the cars the more the better and like the French trips always enjoyable as a crowd.

Below is a small itinerary that we have put togther so far, we do have some hotels as possiblilites but not booked as yet. The hotels are up to 4 star but all are of reasonable price range.

Please post if you are interested and any questions etc

Adam and I are enroute to Modena in September, would be happy to meet up at some stage on the way down.

Where is the Stelvio pass, is that Switzerland?

Very close to the Swiss/Italian border Mat , about 20-30 miles past Davos Fluellapasse etc but before Bormio, early morning stuff when the traffic is limited is best

Fair enough Loz, there will be other chances!

HOWEVER if it's annual leave she's limited by, Sarah is only taking Thurs and Fri off, she's going back on the Eurostar Sunday night. Just an option to save a day...

Paul and Enzo - we really do need to have some discussions on the route - I think we have the chance to drive some amazing roads, we just need to figure out where they are! I've done Geneva to Le Havre in a day, 600 odd miles and did it all on toll roads, boring but effective. Hopefully this isn't what this trip will be about, lets hope to find some glorious roads through the mountains and hopefully through France as well. Route Napoleon is south of where we'll be sadly, but there could be a northern/central equivalent? I'll ask on SELOC...

That is really decent of you Harsh and we'd be silly not to take you up on the offer!!

As I mentioned on your thread, your dates can't work for me but I'd be there in a heartbeat if they did, looks an amazing tour! Next year you can count me in :)

Have you got a meet anytime soon where we can pick your brains for routes between or destinations? Can't beat experience, google maps doesn't come close!

We're got our monthly meet at the Ace cafe on Monday 8th August from 6pm if that's any help?

Great stuff Harsh, I will be there, hopefully Paul and Enzo too!

I know you'll be busy but if I can grab 10mins of your time there it'd be a massive help! I'll bring a Euro road atlas and get you to scribble on it with some ideas :)

Can't believe we have no other takers for this trip, it's going to be a corker :)

Just refining the route at the moment, backroads from Reims to Dijon, then into Geneva via the Jura mountains (where the word 'Jurassic' comes from if anyone's interested. I will be brng the troops with a lecture or two ;) )

This will be a trip to remember.

Indeed Benny - the great thing about this kind of trip is 'there will always be another one'! Enzo, Paul and I will be the forward exploration group and bring back the lessons we learn to make a better trip for us all next time. Sound like a plan? :)

Dont rub it in Lewis , gutted as helll , but asking Kaz to put this before some summer sun is just a tad too much , i value my Ballls :battered: , now if you were to ring her and plead my case then thats another matter:worried1:
