Same here. Comes up if I ever try to connect on the phone.

Then doesn't let me log in for some reason. Pain in the ****.

quick google search and could be an admin change, which is one for Matt to remove the popup ?

Matt was only getting this once but now getting about 3 popups ?

I get it also. Complete pain. Eventually paid the £2.99 out of convenience, but it still pops up!

What's it actually do? ie why would I get it/use it?

It's an app that allows you to use the forum (and any others) directly as opposed to going via the website on a mobile device. I assume it's a wrapper around an SQL back end.

It's quite good, actually....

i think one way which i think is working is on ipad/iphone in setting safari is to allow all cookies, the login into the forum, select cancel not to accept the tapatalk. once in go back to setting safari and set yor cookies back to what you had before.

down side is when you clear yor cookies or they expirer then you have to do it again.

my concern is using a third party app that could track / store your passwords

it may be good but if i decide not to use it, dont really want to be asked 3 times in a row

sorry for the rant but thats the one thing that gets me.. pop-ups

Rant away, Enzo, it's good for the soul. Any app can be storing your password, including Safari if you let it....

Fundamentally you shouldn't be using an 'important' password for something as 'trivial' as SM anyway. I *assume* that Matt's system encrypts them, but I wouldn't in the nicest possible way, trust his DB with, for example, a password re-used from my on line banking. But then I don't even trust my systems with that :)
