Morning,
No snow thankfully, potter around after breakfast and then football I guess.
Dave

It’s the first time in many many years that I don’t mind snow as don’t have to worry about getting lorries out on the road. I shall enjoy some sledging time with the boys.

So-hoo!!! Decent snow, I may go and dig the snow chains out of the shed for the Volvo and go play! It came from Chorley Wood with every option ncluding a full set of chains which are unused like the tow hitch was!

Supposed to be working on the motorbike today but playing sounds like more fun. I have some wheely bin liners which make great sledges!

Have fun all...

Why the UK gets fixated on a cm or two of snow always surprises me...its winter, snow happens!!! All these sill Amber and Yellow warnings...H&S gone mad, now wonder we are so unproductive as a nation we get told to stay at home when its chilly/wet/sunny.

Must becoming a grumpy old man.

need to go to Manchester today, pretty sure I will get through but looking at the muppets trying to get out of the village I suspect there may be a few blockages to get around

Morning by the way

Sno-ho-ho out east today. Bloody loads of the stuff. Looks slushy on the road but settled well in the garden. Doubtless the country will grind to a halt. I’m supposed to be going to Milan tomorrow; let’s see!

For now, a quiet day awaits. I had nine hours sleep again last night so I should listen to my body’s excellent advice.

Morning all, spent the day in Winchester with the Girls and took then ice skating and to the Xmas markets. Had a nice meal in town too and then an early night, not long been up! Like Adam I must have needed it! Grotty weather out there now so today will consist of drinking coffee, helping the girls with their homework and watching United beat City

Drats....do you have an emergency generator or anything like that - i've a little honda petrol one I can wire into the van if i ever need it.

Used to. Previous place didn't need it so got rid. Just moved here so caught out.

Log fire blazing, candles at the ready, but it's fine. Small communities like this rally round.

Local farmers out now clearing road and power up then down and now more or less stable.

Don't mind one little bit really

**** what a nightmare. Spent the night in West India Quay Marriott after a brilliant party. Only just got home. Lost it totally on one hill, narrowly avoided a BMW. Stuck fast on another hill, then 'parked' right opposite a junction which felt like a really bad idea. Managed to move onto Station Rd in Chingford and grab a coffee with some mates. Then it felt like it was easing up.

Car now abandoned in front of the house as trying to park it immediately slid sideway and is now about an inch away from Mrs Catman's 147.

I am physically exhausted.

Winter tyres next year!

Interesting. We missed all the snow. I was in Leeds and Sheffield over the weekend.

Left today when it was snowing a little in the City centre. Got back to London and it is all clear. Not a single flake.

I've missed it all. Which is a bit of a shame as my daughter has missed her first snow fall!!

Genuinely lolled at Clarksons autonomous cars comment when asked if the future is driverless cars.

"You know Death Road in Bolivia, the one we drove in Top Gear? Huge drops, very narrow. To anyone who brings out a driverless car, I will say to the managing director, “Right, you let it drive you up Death Road.” If they’re prepared to do that, I’ll buy one"

Quite a bit of snow here in the midlands, poor GT doesn’t have a cover yet either... my van is even lower so not able to go out on that either. Living at the bottom of a farm track doesn’t help either
