Morning. Working from home today and having all the car valeted as a treat for myself.

Having to manage a client who is such an as$h%le and is micromanaging me which I have no patience for. They pay well so it's a dilemma as I want to tell them to F off but equally, I will cost myself money if I do. Plan is to drop down my hours a chunk to milk more cash from them while putting myself at arm's length of their pathetic failures. I'm
there to help them and have done a strong job but sometimes, people are no naive that they will mess it up regardless.

Being a consultant is interesting as you have to keep out of the office politics and accept that at some point, you will get the blame for something that's nothing to do with you. It's just the easiest way for the real culprits to live another day in their sad jobs.

Morning all from Manchester. Was up at 4am to get here for a 10.30 meeting then off to Southport for another this afternoon.

Encountered this on the way up. The outside lane of the M1 isn’t the best place to stop!!

As a contractor I have this all the time, so as I am on same plant for the 3rd time I have instigated a sign off system to allow the client's engineers to review and comment on the scope packages I produce. Yesterday I brought 30 back, all unsigned and no comment, other than, we've not done this before, my repost was, " Don't say it is wrong when you have had a chance to comment" and I report the figures to the site director, as I identified early on these people are getting good taty for side stepping any responsibility....they like to have someone to blame !!!

Rinse and repeat. Although this morning we should be meeting with the consultant team so hopefully get some kind of future view.

Have a good day, all

Morning.

Off to hopefully pick up the Breras head today from the machine shop.

Wow what's going on with it Matt last I read you were reprogramming the injectors.
Thought the head had been done over in Chepstow ?
A bit of a Project Alfa this one then ?
Morning all :)

Hello!
There's sunshine. I'm hungry. This bus driver doesn't seem to do the whole anticipation or smooth thing. Time to find out what's going on in Vienna.
HapPea Thursday!

I know what you mean Steve, got on a bus a few years ago and had to get off three stops later as I was close to puking, the driver was so appalling.
