Do everything well. Fast. Comfortable. Handle like it's on rails.

Lot of money.

But at the end of the day it's just an Audi.

Have a Look at the OLD Audi range and see how much is shared with the R8.

EFA :)

I am an Audi fan but never, ever warmed to the R8, it took the extremes of Audi S cars which were often poorly developed for UK roads and made them worse. RS6 is pick of the range for me to be an Audi. Or perhaps one of those with the lovely 5 pot motor (which will never have the character and soul of the original but at least it is trying).

Isn't it a Lamborghini normal people can afford to run, fixed price servicing and a good warranty , what's not to like

Incredibly capable car, possibly too good. It really does want you to thrash it when you get in, it's immensely quick, well-built, reliable. It is also mundane, TT like, image issues, oh and yes, it's an Audi. The best car they have ever built, but still an Audi.

On a serious note, S Tronic gearbox is the only one to have. R Tronic is awful and the manual is hard work.

It's an Audi...be prepared to sit off the tail of other cars on the motorway.

Seriously they are fast, probably well put together have an interesting motor being a V10. There's the chance of it boring you quickly as the switchgear is probably the same as an A1/2/3/4/5/6/7/Q3/5 etc and when you say that you drive an Audi, you'll find that someones wife has an Audi too...an A1....mk1

Don't blame you for looking at one... After all there is nothing coming down the Maserati production line that will give you the same bang for your buck.

The inside has a nice old school feel, especially with the chunky, manual gear-lever.

I still don't like it in red, though. Mine would be the the all-electronic dash and without a roof, like this one. But I can't afford one of them and if I could I probably wouldn't buy an Audi, brilliant though they are.

What massively puts me off is that this particular advert says "be the envy of the neighbours". What, seriously? No! If that's the reason anyone would ever buy a particular car then they're a thunderous great big ar5e! That would put me right off. (sorry)

That one is really nice. I just cant my head around buyiny an Audi for Ferrari/ Aston Money

That v10 engine is a superb, for me they are a great buy. Soon the v10 will stop being in production and I think they will bottom out and go up in value despite what comments have come before mine.
For me the choice between a strad and the v10 r8 .... I would have the r8 but only a v10.

Following a health scare a number of years ago I live my life through two simple principles

1) Be the best that you can be (at whatever you do)
2) If you want to, and you can, you should.

I encourage others to do the same ......

Principle 2) gives you the answer to your question

to change the A/C pump (they always fail) in a V8 R8 the engine has to come out. the magnetic ride shocks leak. the stradale is faster than the V8 R8. (like you needed any more swaying ;)

Ok, I get that you are looking at the V10, but just enjoying a few pokes at the R8 (I nearly bought one too!). In its favour, it's just one of those cars that looks so much cooler in person than in photos. No idea why.
