Well, I must’ve taken the brave pills because we’ve taken the 3200 to France en route south to somewhere near Bergerac. The wife says it’s very comfortable but she can’t hear herself think on account of the growl! So far, only one other Maserati spotted, a QP at a Service Station near Le Mans.

Don't worry - mine (albeit a 4200) did 3500+ miles and loads of passes and was very happy.

Is it apparent when Mrs williamsmix is thinking or not? I mean, is there any discernible difference?

Today’s drive from Chatea du Loir down to Bergerac (about 250 miles) took nearly 6 hours with a couple of stops. All 4 seasons in one day. At one point we could’ve been driving through a swimming pool, like an English motorway in winter! Fortunately it’s brightened up now and is pleasantly warm. Lots of speed humps and 20mph limits through the villages en route and they do seem to switch their speed limits around quite frequently … Good to see some dry motorway though and a 130 km / 80mph limit. If we didn’t have so much traffic density in the UK we could follow suit.

No more Maseratis spotted today, but we’ve received some nice compliments about the car. The French seem to like the boomerangs!

The French love their cars and you don’t get any ‘jealousy comments’ like you occasionally do in the UK.
I came out of Auchaun supermarket yesterday to find 6 grown men walking around my 360. They couldn’t have been nicer and much appreciated the quick rev and squirt as I left.
Absolutely love driving it on the French smooth twisties down her.

Phenomenal overnight rain here in Bergerac that was so heavy it woke us up. Glad that Emblem cleaned out the scuppers a few months ago otherwise there would’ve been trouble this morning … started first time.

Just waiting for the Brittany Ferry to take us cross channel to Portsmouth having completed our near 1000 mile road trip across France. The 3200 has behaved impeccably, it’s been absolutely faultless. Vive Le Maserati 3200!

Other Maseratis seen(?) 1! Unbelievable!

We came back via Le Mans and went to the museum on the circuit which has the most awesome collection of priceless race cars. Well worth a visit if you’re in that neck of the woods. The Ibis Styles hotel at the end of the Mulsanne straight was fun 24h themed accommodation for the night with an ok restaurant.
