Can anyone recommend any good tyres, there aren't that many to choose from in this size and I ideally I don't want cheap budget tyres, standard tread pattern preferred, not directional , thanks in advance

I'm just about to put 225 40 18's on my daily drive and OK a different size but I've always not had an issue with Toyo, Falcon, Yokohama. Not budget but no silly money. Just been quoted £89 fitted for Yokohamas so would say you should get yours cheaper.

Tried a few tyre dealers and Yokos seem to be thin on the ground as are Falcon, not keen on the Toyo tread pattern, Khumo KU31 seem to be the only ones readily available, was hoping Pirelli's would be available

I have had the Khumo on a daily before and found them pretty good. In this size range you seem to be limited to the Khumo, Toyo and Hankook.

Hankook looked fine but again my local dealers cant get them or they just cant be arsed to order from suppliers they don't deal with, I've just ordered 4 Khumos :happy2:

I would normally put Khumo on my daily drive but when went to get them today my local tyre place don't stick them anymore so had 4 Falcons instead and impressed.

Had some Falkens on my Lancia Delta Integrale Evo1 a few years back and they were good tyres both in the wet and dry, but I just couldn't get any this time for my Maserati

Not bad value either. Paid £359 for 4 fitted. 225 40 18 and 255 35 18.

That is cheap:thumb3:, the 16 inch Khumos are setting me back £340 fitted, problem is the older size tyres for classic motors cost more because of less demand and therefore not mass produced any more:sad3:
