At 30 to 35k is not the 4.2 GT one og if not the best looking cars you can buy used.......Yes most say hang on for the 4.7 but you would need another 15k over the Swindon 4.2.....Plus when I went out in Doohickey's 4.2 at Brunty it certainly made me want one. For our roads and something special it certainly felt good.

Indeed, such a beautiful car from all angles and one that in my opinion is not aging - a true modern classic. I still feel chuffed & privileged to own one

It is becoming increasingly clear that I will have to have a GT as my next car

Interesting.
When I bought my Lotus S1 111s back in '03, I never yerned for the new S2 version.
I feel the same with my 4200.
I would want to jump to something somewhat different.
Regarding Lotus, it would be the Evora now, Maserati, well there is nothing available yet!

I agree - not been for a ride in one and was something I thought long and hard about, I was going to save and wait another year until Dicky dangled my car in front of me. I would be quite happy with the 4.2, 0-60 in 5 secs is plenty ehough and I guess if you are just after the 4.7 moise then a new exhaust can be had for less than the upgrade premium to 4.7.

Just my 2 penneth - oh and saving hard - suppossed to be to pay mortgage off but..........

Happy to take you out when we meet up in a couple of weeks - unless it's going to be too tempting!! I occasionally hanker after a 4.7 if only for the exhaust note but I'm very happy with mine. It's plenty 99% of the time.

Good Man !!!

I looked at an Exige a while back, got in, everything was almost perfect.
Then I tried to get out of it.
It took me about ten minutes. And I had to crawl out.

Obviously not built for 6ft 3" 18 stone blokes. :(
